ORDERING FAQs:
I’m not sure which size will work best for me. What is your Return Policy?
We welcome any requests for returns & exchanges on unused, unworn, and undamaged items within 15 days from the date on which you received your order. All original tags must be securely attached to the garment in their original manner & condition. Email inside@solalunedancewear.ca to begin the return/exchange process.
Please note that the cost of return shipping and any necessary packaging is the financial responsibility of the purchaser.
Refunds can only be credited to the original payment method and will be processed within 24 hours of the returned package being received at our studio. Please allow up to 10 business days for your refunded balance to show up in your account.
How long does order processing and shipping take?
Once your order has been placed and you receive a confirmation email, your order will be processed and dispatched within 48 business hours. All orders are shipped with a tracking number which will be emailed to you when the shipping label for your order has been created.
We use standard shipping (5-10 business days) and carriers used will vary depending on the delivery location. Shipping is a flat rate of $10 within Canada and the US for all orders $0-$75, with free standard shipping on all orders reaching a subtotal of $75 before any applicable taxes are applied.
**Please note that once a carrier has taken possession of your order we cannot provide you with any further information about the status of delivery than what your tracking number states.**
I usually wear a size ________ in other dance brands. Should I choose the same size for Solalune Dancewear?
We’ve noticed that most dancewear brands run small. We built our sizing similar to the sizing used by most major North American streetwear and sportswear apparel brands to streamline your size shopping experience with us.

A dancewear brand without leotards?
Leotards are scheduled for production at our studio in late October and will be available in the store on November 5th, 2021.
Our first design features bust, back, shoulder, and upper arm coverage so that you can wear your favourite sports bra underneath! We are very excited to introduce this first design to you in two prints and solid black.
Why did you make a dancewear brand only for adults? Why not make Youth sizes too?
Let’s be honest, youth have enough dancewear options readily available with nearly every dancewear brand catering to them. Solalune exists to be a niche brand focused on the adult dancer’s body and their relevant needs from dancewear. With more ballet dancers of all ages, bodies, and gender identities and expressions than ever before it’s time for a brand that listens to and respects those dancers the way they deserve.
Where are your products made?
All of our products are made in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Our raw materials are produced outside of Canada, but the designing, patternmaking, prototyping, size grading, cutting, sewing, and finishing is all completed in small batches right here in our own studio.
Can you please make ________?
As a small (and therefore very flexible) business with our own production studio, we’re open to any and all suggestions for new products! We would love to hear from you about what you’re missing in your dance wardrobe. Email us with your ideas at inside@solalunedancewear.ca
The product I want is out of stock in my preferred colour/size. When will you restock it?
As a small independent manufacturing studio we have the flexibility to be able to quickly restock items as inventory becomes low and we try to keep things in stock before they run out as best we can. However, we do have a finite amount of yardage of each material in stock at any time, so delays may occur if we need to reorder more raw material from one of our suppliers.
In some cases we may choose not to restock a colourway in order to make room for new inventory.

Does Solalune Dancewear have an Ambassador Program?
As a very new brand we are brainstorming what a loyalty, ambassador, or partnership program could look like for us. As a brand dedicated specifically to recreational adult dancers we are carefully considering how our brand shows up on social media and in our community.
We are however open to applications for our Solalune Product Development Crew! Email inside@solalunedancewear.ca with a brief introduction & your current ballet practice if you are interested or check out the link at the bottom of this page for more info.
Does Solalune Dancewear have any paid partnerships with other studios or dancers?
Solalune Dancewear does not have any paid transactions with other ballet accounts or studios. Anywhere you see us engaging online it is because we feel an authentic connection with that dancer/studio and want to support their business or account in growing because we feel their mission benefits the adult ballet community.
I’m interested in joining the Solalune Product Development Crew. What is it exactly?
The Solalune Product Development Crew is a group of selected dancers who are willing to assist in the design, prototyping, and wear testing of new dancewear products before they are released to the public for sale.
